The COBB SF Intake and Airbox system combines the best features of short ram and cold air intakes, providing optimized airflow and performance without any downsides. Designed with precision, this system utilizes a custom conical cloth air filter element paired with a CFD-designed velocity stack, leading to a unique air flow straightener grid. This grid smooths incoming air as it passes through the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, eliminating turbulence and "dead spots" common in other aftermarket intakes. No other Subaru intake system features these critical design elements, ensuring consistent and accurate MAF readings.

Crafted from high-temperature plastic composite, this one-piece design not only reduces weight compared to traditional metal constructions, but also offers superior heat rejection, keeping intake air temperatures cooler. Additionally, the factory inlet channels cold air from the front grill to the SF Airbox, effectively preventing hot engine bay air from entering the intake system.
